Lore & Canon
The original base city and places data comes from arda-maps.org, excerpts come from tolkiengateway.net
For the regions, realms and subdivisions the boundaries/areas shown were gathered from multiple descriptions and common depictions in other maps & media.
In the future less-canon places and terrain may be featured in the map, gathered from media such as videogames.
Contribute
The project is open-source, the geo-data (QGIS) is derived from arda-maps.org and it's fully available.
If you wish, you can contribute with adding images to each place, the instructions for this are explained in the repo.
